Corporate Headshots
White Background
A white background is modern and clean looking which is versatile and can be used in many different ways and keeps the attention of the image focused completely on the person being photographed. A true white background can create a borderless look when placed on a white page in websites, conference booklets, annual reports, and presentation posters. If used against a dark page or background, the bright white will help the headshot pop off the page by creating a high contrast and brightness point to draw the eye.
Drawbacks: May create a surreal "floating head" effect if used the wrong way on a white page.
Gray Background
A solid gray background is beautiful, classic and timeless. A gray background blends nicely with virtually anything. The gray background business headshot will serve you faithfully for years to come and never go out of style. Trends and seasons come and go, but the gray background business headshot will always be there for you and keep you looking fresh and new for years and years.
Drawbacks: May not be bold enough and look plain.
Black Background
If you want to stand out from the crowd, think about employing the color enhancement, drama and creative aesthetic of a black background. A black background is definitely more dramatic than a solid white or grey and shows confidence and creativity. Colors really "pop" on the black background. Your black background shot will stand out on websites and social media. Just go online and look at Team and About Pages. You won’t see a lot of black background shots. So when they appear, they really stand out. Yet, when you want to add a new employee to the team page later, it is easy to keep the aesthetic consistent.
Drawbacks: May be too dramatic. Also conveys an older or classic look.
Social Media Headshots
We believe in the power of social media and with such great power comes great responsibility. We have all seen how opinions of a person can change with a bad profile picture. Most companies now have policies outlining what is acceptable and there is no better way for a company to help employees than by having a professional social media headshot.
